Aimed at reconstructing the 1st-century farm and village in Galilee, the village features a large number of traditional houses, ancient-style workshops, terrace fields, and dry stone mills. The Scottish foundation-run theme park gives a wide range of hands-on experience to visitors, just 0.5 km (0.3 mi) away from the ancient town center. Explore a Jesus-style carpentry shop or check out a good shepherd next to a pen full of sheep, which you can feed. Appropriately dressed actors keep the lore alive, demonstrating daily life some 2,000 years ago.     I usually don't like these kind of tourist traps, but was positively surprised. The guide was Christian, but did a good job of putting this time period in a context. I enjoyed it!
