Temple of Sedeinga, Port Sudan

See the ruins of Temple of Sedeinga, dedicated to royal queen Tiye. Her husband, Amenophis III dedicated many shrines in her memory and built this temple, which today lies in ruin. Here, people worshipped queen Tiye as a goddess because her husband considered her to be one--so remains from that period include their love story and their names paired on various items.
