Relax and play on the white sands of Teluk Chempedak, a good place to stretch out on the beach, take a stroll along the boardwalk, or dip a toe in the water. Towering jungle surrounds the beach, which gives way to a jumble of small boulders at either end. Grab a bite to eat at one of many restaurants that serve the beach, including lots of fast food places and coffee shops. Beware of the resident monkeys, who happily snatch at any food given half the chance. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Kuantan holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Teluk Chempedak and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

It seems the number of visitor increases by year. Nice place of course just too crowded for me. The famous McDonalds is often pack too.

A clean sandy beach, the sands not too fine grain, the provenance from the eroded granite rock. It was raining in the morning, overcast for much of morning the late afternoon, and viola the sun...

One of the best beach to relax in Kuantan. Clean, safe & cool/windy. Lots of seating places. Can even rent the inflated sofa from the vendor at the beach. Has few restaurants you can dine in, with the beach view as a bonus. From the posh Starbucks to the local tomyam/seafood restaurant. Fancy for some gift? Lots of stalls and shoplots selling the keychain, name engraving, kites, toys and others are around. Also a good place for exercise/jogging. But beware of the wild monkeys. Parking lots are plenty. The nearest costs RM2.50 per entry while the one besides TC Uptown costs RM2 per entry. Toilets are clean enough but require major repair/upgrade. Best time to visit this place is from 6.30pm onwards. Big applause to the local authority for maintaining this beach. P/S: Bersyukurlah orang Kontan. Kat KL apa pantai pun tarak. Stress ja berlambak-lambak :) February 2022

Night life in Teluk Cempedak is probably too crowded, but hey, take care of SOP, cur to alley with lesser crowd, it will be alright. The Sand at the main bay is moved from somewhere else, fake grass. These are some of the small let down. Please find times to visit this place in day time, and go to the extreme end on the left, you will find yourselves a bridge to cross to Second Bay. Not many visitors know of this area, so enjoy the quietness it offer. But be careful when you see Monkeys lurking around the bridge, do not feed them and keep your things out of their sight.
